Papers of the provisional Irish-American Regiment, 1898-1899.

Irish-American Regiment membership file contains material on a company which was formed but never mustered into service during the Spanish-American War. Included are volunteer enlistment forms which give volunteer's name; age; birthplace; residence; occupation; marital status; height; colors of eyes, hair, and complexion; enlistment town, county and date; and company assignment. File also includes company muster rolls; regimental officer roster; and correspondence with Irish-American, German-American, and other provisional regiments concerning regimental formation expenses.
