Harrison family correspondence and Benjamin Harrison's professional papers. Series I includes Harrison's personal and professional papers and correspondence relating to his law practice, Civil War service, presidency, and Indiana and national politics. There are also photographs and memorabilia. Series II are papers of Caroline Scott Harrison, including personal correspondence and memorabilia. Series III includes the personal correspondence of Mary Lord Harrison. One letter to Charles W. Fairbanks concerns the selection of a biographer for her late husband. Series IV, V, and VI contain the correspondence of Mary Harrison McKee (daughter of Benjamin and Caroline Harrison); Mary Saunders Harrison (Mrs. Russell B. Harrison), and John Witherspoon Scott (father of Caroline Harrison). Other correspondents include Noble Chase Butler, Schuyler Colfax, Russell B. Harrison, and Charles W. Fairbanks.
