Single item collection consisting of a Civil War letter, dated April 25, 1865. The letter was written by Ira H. Foster in Atlanta, to Colonel G.M. Lee. This document ask Lee, an aide-de-camp to Governor Brown, to go to Macon and secure supplies for people devastated by Sherman's March to the Sea and the burning of Atlanta. Ira Foster was a Union Quartermaster General in Georgia.
