Civil War scrapbook, 1861-1866.

Scrapbook contains primarily copies of circulars, general and special orders issued by the War Department; the Army of Ohio; and the Governor; Adjutant General; and Illinois Quartermaster General. Topics include troop enlistment, muster and discharge; recruiting activity; volunteer and militia unit organization and formation; officer election instructions; troop movement and transportation; military discipline; equipment allowance schedules (i.e., tents; camping equipment; clothing); duty assignments; prisoners of war discharges; and military bounty claim settlements. Scrapbook also contains copies of proclamations issued by Governors Yates and Oglesby plus the official report of the battle at Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
