James Morrison papers : land transactions, 1792-1815.

The collection consists of two items. The first item is a 1792 land list prepared for tax purposes by James Morrison for George Westcott. The 3,000 acre tract was in Mason County, Kentucky. It was surveyed and patented in the name of James Garrard. The second item, dated May 26, 1815, is a land transfer between James Ross and William McMahan. The land was located in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. The transfer was signed by James Morrison and directed to Mr. Auditor.
