County commissioner reports, required to be filed with the Adjutant General as part of county census taking responsibilites, certify the number of men in each county subject to militia duty. Some reports break down the total number into age classifications (i.e., 18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-45). Names of eligible men are only listed for Jackson County.
