This two item collection consists of a September 10, 1855, letter and an [1884?] letter written by Christopher Columbus Graham. The first letter was written to an unknown individual. It discusses a tract of land Graham wished to purchase on the Rockcastle River. The second item was written to John Procter. This letter discusses a donation of fossilized bones from Big Bone Lick, Kentucky. Graham details his travels, including a survey expedition for the "Texas and Pacific Railroad", and being "mess mates" with Ulysses S. Grant during the Blackhawk War of 1832. Provenance information for the fossilized bones is provided in this letter.
