Letters to Charles I. Manigault include a letter (1831 July 5) from Petty Vaughn in London (England) concerning Manigault's order for a portfolio stand and other items. Vaughn also mentions that a portrait will be shipped when it becomes available. In addition, the letter includes a note from a shipping company regarding the shipping of the items on order. A letter (1848 June 18) to Manigault in Italy from W.M. Jackson in Rome (Italy) mainly concerns the shipment of marble statues from Europe to America. Another letter (1848 July 14) from Jackson in Rome asks Manigault to recommend him to friends as a reliable shipping agent. This letter also contains an account statement of charges due for the shipping of two marble statues. A letter (1848 Sept. 2) to Manigault from Tommaso Saulini in Rome is written in Italian.
