Willard George Homer journal, 1893-1899.

William George Homer's journal begins when he is twenty years old and living on a ranch in Marion, Utah. It covers from February 18, 1893 to August 6, 1899. He camps, works on a mill for a Brother Tuttle, farms, hauls rock and enjoys rabbit hunts and dances. He and his neighbors take turns helping one another on their farms. He pays tithing to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in grain. In addition to grain, his farm grows potatoes. He raises sheep and cows. He recovers from the measles. He travels to Wyoming with other men, camping along the way. Towards the end of the journal, he begins to court his future wife, Elvina Josephine Peterson. He seems to be good friends with her brother. The journal ends 24 days before his wedding. The journal contains the Patriarchal Blessing of John Williamson Homer (Willard George Homer's older brother). The blessing was given on February 2, 1882. John Williamson Homer passed away in 1883, when he was about eleven years old.
