Handing down tradition : the individual's experience with multiculturalism, 2005.

Westwood examines the ethnic and cultural traditions of Eastern Indian and Israeli Jew intertwined within her own family. Through interviewing family members, Westwood identifies food as a major difference between her multicultural family and that of mainstream American homes. In addition, differences in clothing, hairstyles, and celebrations are examined. Westwood then discusses how these practices and traditions contribute, not only in the preservation of ancestral culture, but to the forming of individual identity.
