Temple square folklore, 1997.

Pohl discusses social pressures among members of the LDS church to serve a mission, as well as unique experiences of those called to serve in the Temple Square mission of the LDS church. She analyzes the close-knit environment that fosters an ideal setting for the sharing and creating of folklore. Pohl then takes her collection and shares it with other returned missionaries, as well as missionaries currently serving in temple square.
