William Partridge diaries, 1781-1839.

These 49 diaries consist of notations made by Partridge in almanacs. The information recorded consists of the observations on the weather; farming and stockbreeding activities; births, deaths, and marriages in the community; and the visits from or to friends and family members. While the diaries cover the years 1781 to 1836, the diaries for the following years are missing: 1783, 1784, 1785, 1787, 1788, 1790, 1791, 1794, 1798, 1801, and 1814. Diaries for 1837 and 1839 were kept by perhaps John Partridge, William's son, and the father of Harvey Williams Partridge.
