Born in 1922, James Jacobson grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and, upon returning, earned his MBA and began a 35 year career with The Prudential Insurance Company of America. Serving in various regional and national executive positions, Jacobson retired in 1983 and continued his business career as a private consultant, President and CEO of a large insurance company, and as a member of two dozen corporate boards.
