Correspondence, reports, financial and legal documents, maps, photographs and printed material chiefly tracing the development and operation of the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company from 1899 to 1970. Also present are annual reports of the Greene Consolidated Copper Company and financial and legal documents of the Cobre Grande Copper Company. Subject files and maps consist of research materials on locations and subjects in Sonora. These include photocopies of correspondence between Col. William C. Greene and Emilio Kosterlitzky, 1902-1911, and documentation of Torrance's successful search for the location of presidios at Terranate and Las Nutrias. Most of the correspondence is copied from original documents in MS 1032. Photographs are of missions, dams, landscapes, and buildings from various Sonoran cities.
