Born in Scotland, daughter of Alexander Hill and Elizabeth Curry. Family's immigration to Upper Canada, 1819; marriage to John Richards; conversion to Mormonism, 1840; removal to Nauvoo, Illinois, 1841; mob violence in Nauvoo; exodus west; arrival in the Salt Lake Valley, 1851; settlement in Mill Creek, Utah; move to Meadow, Utah, 1859.
