Conversion to Mormonism, 1840; immigration to Nauvoo, Illinois; work on the Nauvoo Temple as a carpenter; mantle of the Propher on Brigham Young; recipient of temple ordinances; removal to St. Louis, Missouri; prayer for rain immediately answered as they started west; arrival in the Salt Lake Valley, 1850; pioneer life in Utah.
