Two typewritten and signed letters, dated 12 Nov. 1897 and 1 Jan. 1898. The earlier missive is addressed to "Mr. Goss" whom Barton thanks for some suggestions on how to improve his writings. The other item is addressed to Barton O. Aylesworth. Barton responds to a request for autobiographical information. Also included is an "Advance" brochure advertising the publication of "A Hero in Homespun." The item includes a portrait of Barton. With the collection is the envelope in which the letter to Aylesworth was sent.
