Book of poems, ca. 1740.

Handwritten poems copied into a book of blank pages. These items were composed by prominent English poets. Inside the front cover is a book plate of Anthony Trollope, the English novelist. Also included is a note on the flyleaf by Trollope. He mistakenly identifies Gresley as his great grandmother. This item is the subject of letter #426 found in Bradford Allen Booth, "The Letters of Anthony Trollope" published in London: Oxford University Press, 1951 pages 249-250.
