Consists of records on the status of women and minority faculty at the University of Florida. The earlier records, 1969-1972, deal almost exclusively with African-American student enrollment and the recruitment of African-American faculty. These record were created from studies and work carried out by Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs Ernest St. Jacques. The remainder of the series is composed of files created by Irene Thompson, Special Assistant to the Dean of Academic Affairs and Dorothy Nevill, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, for the years 1973-1976. These deal largely with salary inequities between men and women faculty, gender discrimination in hiring and sponsored research, and recommendations for improving the status of women faculty.
