Champlain on the Atlantic Ocean to his wife, Elizabeth in New London, Conn., and correspondence (1811-1825), between the latter and her sister, Mary Way, an artist in New York City, discussing colors and tints, copying engravings on silk for young ladies to embroider and drawing the likenesses of corpses; includes papers of six generations of the Way, Champlain, Riley and MacMullen families.
