This collection currently contains two articles on the topic of women civil engineers. The first, "Engineering Outreach," discusses Ackerman's background, her work in mentoring, and ASCE's outreach programs. The second, "You Can Get There from Here - A Woman's Place in Engineering," where Ackerman discusses her experiences as a woman in engineering, was given at a 1996 conference held at Rose-Hulman Institute.
