Collection consists of letters fom Lewis to David Hubbard of Ala., asking for copies of speeches of Daniel Webster and urging Hubbard to tell the people to what extent members of Congress were bound to banks as stockholders or debtors. Lewis was a congressman from 1828 to 1840 and a senator from 1840 to 1848.
