Field-notes of surveys made by Henry D. Thoreau since November 1849 : holograph, 1849-1861.

Volume of surveying field notes made by Thoreau in preparing surveys of land and property in Concord, Acton, Bedford, Boxborough, Carlisle, Framingham, Haverhill, Lincoln, Littleton, and Stow, Mass., and Eagleswood in Perth Amboy, N.J., among other places. Thoreau used this volume to record work done for various employers (individuals and Town of Concord), measurements, expenses, and fees charged. The volume includes some material tipped or laid in. Most of the surveys prepared from these field notes are also in the Henry David Thoreau Papers in the Concord Free Public Library.
