Letters, 1928-1935.

Consists of items removed from Lilly Library copies of books by Edwin Arlington Robinson, 1869-1935, poet, which formerly belonged to Charles C. Auchincloss, 1881-1961, broker. They consist of sheets containing typewritten questions to Robinson about some of his poems and answers to the questions in Robinson's hand. The same questions (handwritten) with the answers in Robinson's hand, signed with his initials, appear on the inside of the front covers and on the front flyleaves of the books to which they refer. There are additional items present in books in the Lilly Library collection. The collection also contains two letters written by Robinson, one to James Ray Wells, and the other to Charles C. Auchincloss.
