Gen. Jacob Gould, Rochester, N.Y., 1829; military orders, returns of officers, and circulars, 1829-1831; Crary's civil appointments, 1816-1820, as Niagara County inspector of beef, pork, and flour, as auctioneer, and as postmaster of Williamsville, N.Y.; and letters, licenses, receipts, and other papers concerning these civil functions and his various businesses. Also, a personal letter to his mother, 25 Oct. 1821, one from his nephew John Proctor, Proctorville, 1 July 1828, and two letters concerning the New York State Constitutional Convention of 1821; letters, a prospectus, and receipts relating to his publication of a map of Buffalo, 1828, and a Buffalo city directory, 1832; and the original survey of the residents of Buffalo for the directory.

Daniel D. Tompkins (June 21, 1774 – June 11, 1825) was an American politician. He was the fourth governor of New York from 1807 to 1817, and the sixth vice president of the United States from 1817 to 1825.
