This collection includes research notes, manuscript and typescript drafts of several of Louise Andrew Kent publications including Mrs. Appleyard's Kitchen Omnibus, Mrs. Appleyard and I, He Went with Drake, He went with Champlain, The Winter Kitchen, The Summer Kitchen, Vermont Life Cook Book, Vermont Year Round Cookbook. There are also copies of reviews and correspondence for The Winter Kitchen.

Louise Andrews Kent was born about 1887 in Brookline, Mass. She married Rich Kent in 1912. She became a newspaper columnist and author of children's books and cookbooks, assuming the persona of "Mrs. Appleyard," to write a series of New England cookbooks.
