Walter Peyre Porcher papers, ca. 1871-1919.

Papers consist of writings, a commonplace book, and other items. Writings include reminiscences (typewritten, 16 pages) entitled "Personal Reminiscences of a Doctor's Life," and typewritten essays or articles on duck hunting, woodsmanship, Christmas in the country, and other topics. Commonplace book (1874-1919) contains quotations and excerpts of poems organized alphabetically by topic (with index). Topics include astronomy, philosophy, medicine, and religion.
