Letters (1819-1825) from Ann Simons Ball at Charleston (S.C.), Kensington Plantation, and Comingtee Plantation to her husband John Ball concern mainly family matters and plantation affairs. There is also correspondence (1821-1831) of Eleanor Simons and Keating Simons with Ann Simons Ball and her husband John Ball concerning mainly family matters. A typewritten transcription of a letter (18 March 1825) from Keating Simons to his daughter Ann Ball discusses the Marquis de Lafayette's visit to Charleston (S.C.).
