Scrapbook includes programs and newspaper clippings from concerts of the Mendelssohn Male Choir of Washington, Pennsylvania between 1903 and 1911 and other musical events of the region. Also included are clippings documenting athletic events at Washington and Jefferson College (including an alumni-varsity baseball game), and obituaries for Julius Miller (Washington County Prothonotary and father of Charles Miller).

Charles F. Miller was a bass singer and soloist for the Mendelssohn Male Choir of Washington, Pennsylvania. They performed in many music halls in the region, especially Carnegie Hall (Pittsburgh, Pa.). Miller also performed in the Washington and Jefferson Male Quartet. Mr. Miller's wife was an organist.
