Papers, 1958-[ongoing].

This collection contains a vita, correspondence, memorandum, printed materials, newspaper clippings, and newsletters. These papers document Harding's career at the National Institutes of Health as well as her efforts on behalf of Self-Help for Equal Rights (SHER). Of particular interest is the correspondence and memorandum that Harding used to prove the NIH guilty of sex discrimination against her. There are also files and clippings pertaining to related sexual discrimination cases in science (including Jensvold, Johnson, Polsby, and Weissman), research on women (such as the women's movement and Bernadine Healey, the Director of the National Institutes of Health in the 1990s), and the founding of the Association of Women in Science and the Federation of Organizations for Professional Women.
