Correspondence of various members of the Channing, Higginson, and Cabot families, but principally of: Susan C. (Higginson) and Francis D. Channing; Louisa (Storrow) and Stephen Higginson; their daughter Susan C. (Channing) and her husband Francis J. Higginson; their daughter Mary L. (Higginson) and her husband Francis Cabot; and their chldren, including Marian (Cabot) Putnam. The collection also includes some early Storrow family items and engagement letters between Francis J. Higginson and Susan C. Channing (1828-30), letters written from Rio de Janeiro (1810-11), letters from Europe during various trips there, and a few genealogical notes.
