Vellum Ethiopian magic scroll containing a fragment of the New Testament and a prayer to the Blessed Virgin, housed together with its original metal container. Also included is a manuscript note describing the scroll as a "magical prayer-roll," and a letter from Ellen A. Schmidt on behalf of Nathaniel Schmidt, professor of Semitic languages and literatures at Cornell, to Cornell librarian George William Harris concerning the scroll.
