The Lynn U. Stambaugh papers date from 1910-1964 and contain awards and certificates, general correspondence, correspondence from Enid Erickson Stambaugh (that served as her journal of the Export-Import Bank of the United States' South American tour), an itinerary of the South American tour, tourism pamphlets, miscellaneous materials, and six loose scrapbooks. 225 photographs in the collection have been separated, arranged by subject, and placed in the Orin G. Libby Photographic Collection. The subjects include: post cards, family, American Legion, ANAVICUS (Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans in Canada, United States), Export-Import Bank of the United States, and miscellaneous.

Lynn Upshaw Stambaugh graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1913 with an L.L.B. degree. He represented the fourth generation of his family to practice law.
