[William Hogarth collection] --1795-1802.

The collection consists of engravings made by Thomas Cook after William Hogarth, including prints of The Rake's Progress, A Harlot's Progress, Marriage à-la-mode, Industry and Idleness, Hudibras, and The Four Stages of Cruelty. Cook's copies of Hogarth's prints are re-engravings from the original plates, and are carefully kept to the same size. Prints from A Harlot's Progress are hand-colored.
