Letter from Mrs. Georgia Moore de Fontaine (Mrs. Felix Gregory De Fontaine) to Mrs. C.C. Pinckney urging founding of a chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Charleston; explaining goals and purposes of the society; confirming that memembers received no money for their efforts; noting her appointment as honorary regent for the state of New York; and discussing her early years in Charleston, S.C. Mrs. C.C. Pinckney, the recipient of the letter, is though to be Annie Morris Pinckney, the second wife of Charles Cotesworth Pinckney (1839-1909) a businessman of Charleston, S.C.
