Correspondence, genealogical notes, clippings, plat maps, an autograph book, promissory notes, lodge cards, diplomas, certificates, and Dryden and Lewis family photographs. Materials are from the Dryden and Lewis families, and from Dryden's trusteeship at Hanover College and as a road contractor. The plat maps are of Pittsburg, Edinburgh, Danville, and Vienna, Ind. The photographs are of family members, as well as buildings on the Hanover College campus and the 50th reunion of the 1904 class.

Dryden was born in Scott County, Ind. He homesteaded in Oregon, but returned to Indiana and was a partner in a road building firm. In 1934 he became a member of the board of trustees of Hanover College.
