George E. Butterfield was born Dec. 28, 1883, in Bay City, Mich. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Michigan. He served as principal of Reigal, Park, and McKinley Schools, and taught at Eastern High School. He became dean of Bay City Junior College, a position he held for 23 years until his retirement in 1949. He was a charter member of the Delta College (known as Tri County College from 1957-1961) Board of Trustees from 1957-1966. He wrote three books about B...
