Letter congratulating Pierce Butler (1744-1822 ) on successful accomplishment of his goals at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, commenting on the educational progress of Tommy, son of Pierce Butler, who enrolled in the London school in 1784. Letter topics include discussion of purchase of books, and anticipating a visit from a Master Huger of South Carolina whose arrival was expected in London from the north, and mention of Huger's plans to visit Carolina in the future.
