Consists of miscellaneous letters to various correspondents, including three to Canadian financier, politician, and journalist Max Beaverbrook [i.e. , William Maxwell Aitken Beaverbrook, baron, 1879-1964], one to literary agent W.M. Colles, and one to theatrical agent J. Rumsey. Included also is a letter by Raymond Toole-Stott to Mrs. J.G. Newlands concerning his bibliographical description of the first American edition of Maugham's Of human bondage. The collection also includes typescripts of three manuscripts: The camel's back, an unpublished play by Maugham [192-], Of human bondage, a screenplay by Lester Cohen, 1934, and East of Suez, a screen version by Sada Cowan [1934?].
