Letters, 1902-03 and 1908 : to F.A. Besant Rice.

The 1902-03 letters chiefly concern suggestions for casting, including two recommendations for a minor part in Letty, a play by Sir Arthur Wing Pinero, as well as mutual activities and acquaintances. The 1908 letters deal solely with the production of The Chaplain of the Fleet by J. Rice and W. Besant and the attempts by Rice to have Boucicault read and possibly produce his own plays, The Canon in Residence, and A Society Smock Frock.
