Micajah Pickett papers, 1800-1817.

Consisting of deed of gift of land and Negro slaves from Micajah and Kezannah Pickett, of Fairfield District, S.C., to their sons (12 Dec. 1800); and bill of sale, 6 Jan. 1817, for land in Rutherford County, N.C., from Micajah Pickett, of Greenville County, S.C., to James McKinney. Deed, 12 Dec. 1800, naming sons William, Micajah, James, John, Rueben, and Charles, who received individual parcels of land in Fairfield District, and various African-American slaves identified by name, including Lydia, Diner, Dick, and Arch[i]e; document subsequently re notarized 24 Jan. 1805, 6 Feb. 1805, and 31 Jan. [1824?].
