Collection consists of family and personal correspondence, 1874- 1910, of Lucy Parke (Chamberlayne) Bagby (1842-1927) of Richmond, Va., especially with her children; and the family and personal correspondence, 1874-1912, of her daughter, Virginia (Bagby) Taylor (1864-1955) of Richmond, concerning the education of her brothers and her son Henry Taylor (1887-1982), the lives of her daughters, and visits to Virginia health resorts. Also, includes family correspondence, 1886-1912, of Virginia Taylor's husband, Henry Taylor (1854-1945) of Richmond, and an account book, 1894-1895, in which he kept a record of wages paid to farm workers and wood haulers at "West End," Louisa County, Va.; and scattered papers of other members of the Bagby, Taylor, and Watson families.
