Papers include newspaper clippings of letters written while on a trip to Europe and Africa in June, July and August 1926 that were published in the Homestead (Pa.) Messenger. These letters provide summary accounts of her impressions and activities while travelling overseas. The places mentioned include Portugal, Spain, Northern Africa, Italy, Germany, France, Scandinavia, Scotland, Ireland and England. Of special note are the descriptions of the activities on both Atlantic Ocean crossings and her return trip to Pittsburgh through Valley Forge and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also of note are occasional references and comparisons to life and activities in Pittsburgh.
