The accession consists of four blueprints and nine pencil drawings depicting structures of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography designed or altered by the University of California Office of Architects and Engineers. Eleven of these items depict alterations in the Scripps Library. One blueprint depicts a proposed lunchroom and one depicts a flow tank. Plans, drawings and blueprints of the Scripps Library include elevations, floor plans, library stacks, interior elevations, stair details and electrical plans. The architect is listed as E. Warren Barker. Several plans are annotated "Approved with notations, M.W. Johnson for Building Committee." The name of the UCLA architecture office is variously represented in these blueprints and drawings as University of California Los Angeles Office of the Comptroller Engineering Department and University of California Los Angeles Office of the Comptroller Division of Architecture and Engineering. In 1955 this office was designated University of California Los Angeles Office of Architects and Engineers.
