Wilt of Philadelphia, Pa., translated the works of Friedrich H. von Dalberg (Fancies from the realm of tones), Julius Waldemar Grosse (Daponte and Mozart), Eduard Friedrich Morike (Mozart upon the journey to Prague), Ernst Pasque (Frau musica; Seven days from the life of a singer), and Elise Polko (The beggars opera; Musical sketches). The books of musical fiction deal with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Lorenzo Da Ponte, and semi-fictional stories about other famous musicians.
