Gerome Sarpy act of retrocession of lease, 1852, 1876.

Act of retrocession of lease in Natchitoches Parish, La., of Gerome Sarpy. Dated May 27, 1852, the act states that Sarpy formally retrocedes the privileges granted to him by a certain lease in his favor to Leopold Caspari, and that François Metoyer consents to the retrocession. An accompanying receipt in English, dated 1876, records the payment of $40.00 by John De Silva to S.E. Caspari of Isle Brevelle, Natchitoches Parish.
