Papers of the Lyddall and Bacon families, 1671-1769.

Collection contains legal documents and a portion of a letter of members of the Lyddall and Bacon families of New Kent County, Va. Of interest are the 1703 will of Capt. George Lyddall; a deed, 1671, concerning land on Black Creek sold to Thomas Long by Capt. Lydall; a 1710 indenture between John Bacon and William Copton; and a 1682 deed of Lyddall giving land to Edward and Ann Bacon. Also include two bills of exchange and part of a letter to "Dear Father" from an unidentified man asking permission to marry.
