In four letters, 1918 August - 1919 January 16, to her daughter, Ella, a nurse at Base Hospital 41, St. Denis, France, Sarah Fife conveys news of family, friends, and events in Charlottesville, Virginia. With these is a list of books in her hand, her translation of three psalms and some New Testament verses into French, and two 1985 photographs of Jesse Jackson at National Airport, Washington, D.C.
