Correspondents include: Lyndon Johnson, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. John Connally, and Ashburn himself. Subjects include gratitude for political support, and the building of dormitories for the University of Texas at Dallas. Clippings relate to John Kennedy's visit to Dallas and assassination in 1963, the 1967 New Orleans Mardi Gras, and include a picture of John Connally with Ashburn. Invitations to political functions include: Presidential inaugurations of 1961, 1965; Texas gubernatorial inaugurations of 1961, 1965; and a 1963 luncheon scheduled in Dallas to honor Kennedy, cancelled because of the assassination.
