Bill in equity between the Pennsylvania State College and Robert Kendall and Adam Felty, and opinion, 1879 October 14 and 1887 February 8.

Penn State, to maintain its tax exempt status, sued Robert Kendall, overseer of the poor and collector of poor taxes for the township of College, and Adam Felty, collector of school tax for the township of College, to recover corn seized by both tax collectors as payment for taxes. J.W. Simonton, in an 8 February 1887 opinion, decreed that the college met the definition of institutions exempt from taxation.
